In some divorce cases, the family has been torn apart by domestic violence. It may be due to anger management issues with one of the spouses or related to drug or alcohol problems. It may have occured in the presence of the children or been directed toward the children.

Resources and services are available to provide safe environments or havens for the child(ren) to visit with the other parent.  

Mr. Silverman has extensive experience litigating and trying family law domestic violence cases. In addition to his experience in family law cases, he has been on the San Francisco Juvenile Dependency Panel since 1995 where he has litigated hundreds of child abuse and neglect cases.
